Director and claims solicitor Marc Folgate has been appointed Chairman of the Peterborough-based charity, the Peterborough Cancer Treatment Appeal. He replaces the late Keith Fisher. Marc paid tribute to Keith’s long service and spoke of his honour to be appointed to a charity he has personally fundraised for.
“I am honoured to be appointed and to have to opportunity to serve the charity which has been so well chaired by Keith over many, many years of charitable service. There are continuing opportunities to achieve so much in terms of fighting a disease we are all likely to be touched by, directly or indirectly, at a local level”.
As well as getting involved with the management of the charity, Marc has also thrown himself into the fundraising side of things, most notably in recent years when he pedelled from Peterborough to Barnsley in 2015 to help with an appeal.
